Baked Crab Rangoons
Ingredients
- 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 8-oz. package cream cheese, softened
- 8 oz. jumbo lump crab meat
- 1-2 green onions, thinly sliced
- 1/2 teaspoon soy sauce
- 1/4-1/2 teaspoon hot sauce of your choice
- 24-48 wonton wrappers
- 2 egg whites to seal
- Preferred cooking oil for brushing
Instructions
Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
Lightly spray a baking sheet with cooking spray.
Prepare the Filling:
In a medium bowl, combine the garlic powder, softened cream cheese, sliced green onions, soy sauce, and hot sauce. Mix until well combined.
Gently fold in the crabmeat, making sure it’s evenly distributed throughout the mixture.
Assemble Wontons:
Place about 2 teaspoons of the crab mixture in the center of each wonton wrapper.
Lightly brush the edges of the wrapper with egg whites, then fold the wonton diagonally in half to form a triangle. Press the edges to seal.
Bake the Wontons:
Arrange the filled wontons on the prepared baking sheet.
Lightly spray the tops of the wontons with oil.
Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the wontons are light golden brown.
Serve:
Serve the baked crab rangoon wontons with soy sauce or duck sauce for dipping.
