City Fish Today – Modern Wholesale & Retail Fish Market serving CT, MA & RI
Much has changed in nearly 9 decades since City Fish Market was founded. New locations, processing & packing innovations, refrigerated delivery trucks, and daily wholesale deliveries have helped us keep up with the changing needs of our retail & wholesale customers. One thing has remained constant throughout our 85 years of service to the community and that is our commitment to quality products and friendly & helpful service.
Today John Anagnos and his 4 children, George, Michele, Davina, & Telly, manage the day to day operations of City Fish Market along with many long-time employees and other family members. The tradition continues as the 5th generation of children work alongside their family during summer break doing what it takes to continue this family legacy.
Our modern, refrigerated trailer truck makes the trips to the Boston / Gloucester / New Bedford hub of wholesale distribution points to gather the best seafood products available for our customers throughout Southern New England. Many other products are delivered directly to our docks from distributors offering fresh lobster and fish products from Iceland, Norway and Alaska.
Our impressive 20,000 sq. ft. facility makes it possible to constantly maintain fresh seafood products and customer-friendly displays to ensure you always find the fish, shellfish, and lobsters you are looking for in a quality that can’t be topped elsewhere. Our facility includes over 100,000 cubic feet devoted to -10 degrees frozen storage and an additional 70,000 cubic -feet of 34 degree cold storage. With our 5,000 gallon lobster pound, you won’t find seafood any fresher than our lively lobsters!
Everyone at our company values personal involvement that leads to consistent quality products and dependable service. City Fish Market employs over 50 local employees at our Wethersfield CT headquarters, including our fish cutting floor, packaging facility, and our fleet of more than 20 refrigerated delivery trucks. We support local businesses and fishermen whenever possible.
