Best Fish & Chips in Connecticut

We Look Forward To Serving You With A Smile

The Fish & Chips was born in England around 1860. “Chips”, pieces or slices of potato deep-fried, were cheap at this time. Fish was also cheaper and more available with the rapid development of trawl fishing, railways and refrigeration storage. Why not put them together? Fish & Chips shops, nicknamed “chippy or chipper”, were very popular in the latter part of the 19th and 20th centuries. Originally, the fish was deep fried with a wet batter and the chips were thick cut and served wrapped in newspaper. Fish & Chips, a cheap, hot meal and the English loved it as did the rest of the world!
