Every time I go it's always fresh and good service. You get what you pay for and it's worth every penny. Plus they have a restaurant that serves some good food with a seating area away from the fish market. Whenever I go there it reminds me of the ocean. Everyone that goes always comes back for more. I always recommend this place.

Best fried seafood in the area from fish to calamari to scallops and shrimp. Awesome fries. Can take out or eat in attached dining room. The fish counter is fully stocked with all the fresh seafood you can think of with the largest lobsters I have ever seen. Well worth it!

Oh wow! I came in based on the Yelp reviews and I was not disappointed. I came to town for a wedding and had to try a lobster roll while in town. We ordered the hot and cold lobster rolls. They were stuffed with lobster meat and so fresh and tasty! You can order to go or eat inside. They sell drinks and liquor. Be prepared to buy some fresh catch, they have an area where you can buy it and take it home to cook.

The fish and chips here are the best in the area. I ran in literally a minute before closing last week. They were nice enough to let me "sneak in" to get my food. I was very happy they did.I also recommend the shrimp cocktail dinner. The shrimp are huge and fresh and the price is very reasonable for the quality of shrimp you get. The staff are consistently friendly and enjoy striking up a conversation with you while you wait for your order.Good job City Fish -in both food and customer service!

Whole Belly Clams tasted FREAKIN GREAT! Momma had strips and she loved them too. Worth every penny.

I love City Fish and don't come by often enough. Today I was in Wethersfield for another reason and decided to stop by to get something for dinner. That something was swordfish -- which is on special this week. This could very well be the best swordfish I've had ever. It was super delicious and tender.
I coated the swordfish with oil and lemon juice and sprinkled on fresh chopped basil and salt and pepper. I cooked it for 15 minutes on a medium-high grill. The slices are so thick, it needed that much time to cook through. It was smooth and moist all the way through.

(Yes, it's a word, known only to those to taste the outstanding seafood at this eatery.)City Fish has a tremendous selection of fresh and fried, soupy and land (hot dogs for the land-lovers [and kids]) dishes. Everything is extremely well-priced for the high quality meals as well as outstanding service that you receive.

As good--if not fishtails in length way better--as the food is the service. The staff at City Fish is extremely kind and welcoming. It is the definition of efficient. Each individual is hardworking and takes care of each person in the steady flow of patrons coming in. You receive your meals within minutes of ordering, the smells so fragrant and delicious flowing out from the kitchen and ordering window. As I was ordering, the cashier gave me a menu for prices and such so that I could view what was available. I'm very impressed with the work this staff does, the effort they put in, the friendliness they show to patrons.

Minutes after ordering and quickly snatching a seat in the separate dining area, my friend and I carried back our goods--all carefully packaged in to go boxes with proper condiments and utensils--to our table and dove in. Our fish tails were wiggling with delight as we enjoyed a pint of clam chowder, shrimp cocktail, and clam strips with fries. All was fresh and perfect!!My chowder had at least one or two clams in every bite!!I'm a [self-proclaimed] connoisseur of chowders, and this was absolutely delicious, perfectly spiced and flavored in every way. I highly suggest you get the chowder--and at least get a pint of it. (If you don't finish it, then it's already in a container ready to go, so stick the lid back on and enjoy the rest at home later!!)

City Fish has a really comfortable atmosphere, not just in the dining area but also in the ordering space and the market space where you can get a number of fishy things to go to prepare yourself at home. There are also racks of items used in meal preparation across from the cold cases in the market as well as a raw bar with quahogs and oysters right in front of you on ice. Everything you need to make a great meal at home is right there. The staff is knowledgable and can help you with any questions you may have about how to cook your fish, and will even give suggestions about what meal would work with what fish.

Without a doubt, City Fish Market is the place to go for seafood. Outstanding quality, great choice, wonderful staff--there aren't enough positive adjectives for this place!!Like I said, it's absolutely fishtastic. You'll definitely leave swimming happily out.

Remember: fish are friends, but also really delicious food at City Fish, so dive in!!

City Fish Market is our family's favorite seafood market and we've been going there for years. They have the freshest lobster and we enjoy picking out the big ones to take home and cook. It's a very busy place and the staff hurries to take and fill orders. The cooked fish is also great and you can eat it in the sitting area at the front of the shop. Lots of choices and the turnover is good so that you know it's fresh.

For a yummy "fish fix", when inland, City Fish, on Silas Deane Hwy, in Wethersfield, CT hits the spot. Hearty portions in their classic fish and chips (French fries) meal, for when you want a taste of the seashore!
