City Fish, what a place. Fresh seafood from all over the world. The display case is fantastic.
The biggest selection that you will find in Connecticut. Fresh? You better believe it is.
Tellie behind the counter will let you know where it came from and the best method of preparation. All the staff is so helpful and friendly. Definitely a 5 Star fish market.

Fresh Seafood Fix. My husband grew up in CT, so when we come home to visit he immediately needs a "whole belly clams" fix. City Fish Market is one of the best. It is a fish market, and smells like it when you walk in. There's a counter directly inside the door where you order and wait for your meal. When we've been there more people seem to be ordering take away than eating in, but we usually go upstairs to the dining room - just a spotless, pleasant room with a nice attendant. Clams and fish are always good, we often trade for onion rings. The portions are huge, I always take some home. Try one of their fish tacos. They're awesome! Cod with all the fish taco fixings: pico de gallo, lettuce, cheese, ranch dressing, in a sun-dried tomato wrap.

First time here and I'll come back, service was very helpful and friendly, the guy almost read my mind about what I was looking for. Thank you guys!!

This was my first time here I ordered the shrimp plate wow the clam chowder was on point. Also got some catfish to go. I will be back.

Good take-out, good value and large portions. Cooked to order, the fried clams and fried shrimp are tasty. The fries are large cut and very good. The price is right. You can also eat upstairs. You know the fish is fresh.

Excellent selection of fresh fish and seafood at the market. The prepared food is basic fried fish and chips, etc. and hot or cold lobster rolls.

Quality Seafood at VERY reasonable prices. I can't say enough about City Fish. Working in East Hartford, it's a quick shot over the bridge to get there. I signed up for their weekly specials and receive them via e-mail every Tuesday night. (Thank you Davina). Their belly clams are by far the best I have ever eaten. The worst thing about fried clams is that one little piece of sand you crunch down on. Not at City Fish!! Always sweet, always perfectly cooked. We always grab our lunch and head up to the dining room. It's spotlessly clean and the attendant there is most gracious and friendly. I eat lunch there at least once a week.

This place has great fresh fish for purchase.
